What are Free Roaming Games?
Free Roamers or Open ended games are videogames which give you the freedom to explore the area which you are placed in, in a non linear way. EG: There is nothing forcing you to do a task or mission.
Whether it is GTA where you can grab a car, drive round the city or get out and run by foot or GUN where you can explore the beautiful world or ride on horseback.
THESE ARE OPEN ENDED GAMES!
There are brief descriptions and a few pictures for each one.

GUN SHOWDOWNOk, i don't suppose you have played GUN before?
Because if you have, you may be a bit disappointed with gun*.
If not i would highly recommend it!
It has great graphics and detail and the environment/scenery is gorgeous. From waterfalls to meadows it's lush and a pleasure to look at!
You can ride horses, use all sorts of weapons (not just guns as the title suggests) including bows, well of course guns and scalping knives, swords...can't remember what else but you can visit guys who are selling to buy weapons and powerups.
The story of the game is fantastic! I'm not going to tell you what it's about because i don't want to ruin it...but it is excellent. The game isn't very long. You can complete it fairy quickly but will run into a few challenges here and there!
As the game is free roaming you can ride around either on horse or by foot anywhere and everywhere across the large beautiful world.
Sound effects are as good as they should be, nothing exciting but voice acting is superb and the music is just beautiful!!
There are extra missions for the psp but they aren't very enjoyable.
The game is rated 18 (in UK) and so expect lots of violence and gore...well actually it isn't as gory as the ps2/xbox/gamecube version. I believe that on PSP you can't scalp (is that the word..?) people or explode people so their arms/legs/head go flying off.
LOL. It must make me sound like a freak but it is quite enjoyable. (in the game of course)
Well the game is full of surprises and can be very enjoyable! There's even an extra multiplayer for the psp but because of these gains, there are some losses!

*The PSP version has a rather annoying camera view which is stuck behind your character. It would be ok if it wasn't stuck so close up and if Colton (your character who is AWESOME!) wasn't stuck on the left hand side of the screen. The view is similar to the psp games Infected and Gangs of London. It's not that bad, i am just too used to the camera view on the PS2 version.
Another loss is that there are not many people around so the world feels rather empty (there are a few animals here and there though! :D) And also you cannot kill the ones that are there unlike the PS2 version. :(
They're probably the only main problems but there are some tiny disappointments such as you must stick to one horse and cannot change horses. :S It's not that bad tho. At least you have a horse!

So yeah! If you feel like getting a psp game, you should definately consider getting this game.
